The Past Two Summers with iHeartMedia

Internships

I've demonstrated my ability to work as a part of a large, dynamic team as a two-time intern at iHeartMedia, where I made significant contributions to both the corporate team in New York City and a local team in Boston, building strong relationships in both environments.

My first summer with iHeartMedia, I worked as a Communication and Marketing Intern in New York City. My role required solid project and time management skills in order to handle both my individual and team project responsibilities on a daily basis. My assignments included proof-reading for editing press releases and writing content for the creation of PR strategies for iHeartMedia events like the iHeartRadio Music Festival. One project I enjoyed working on was the iHeartRadio’s Show Your Stripes campaign, which built on my marketing experience developed during my studies at Cornell. This project not only required organization and time management skills, but also the ability to apply critical thinking to impact-based strategies.

The following summer, I experienced a different tier of the company. Compared to the previous summer, working on a national level with corporate, this was much smaller scale. As a marketing and promotions intern, I worked with local radio stations in Boston, such as KISS 108, JAM'N 94.5, and The Bull 101.7. I experienced the challenge of customer service and worked with event-goers on a case-by-case basis in the implementation of promotional events. While I see myself as a better fit to the New York City position, I valued this opportunity, as it gave me the chance to see how the company operates from a different level.

Over the past two summers, I've assisted iHeartMedia in their efforts to deliver their brand to a large audience. Through these internships, I've been able to pursue my interests in media and social influence. I now feel qualified for positions that require creativity and social impact.
